What is a junior referee?

A junior referee clinic is a one-day 127 Sports Intensity experience where athletes learn officiating fundamentals, classroom rules, and on-court mechanics — then leave with tools to serve games in our community.

Who it is for

Clinics are designed for Fairfield Basketball Club athletes and families who want a structured path into officiating. Registration collects guardian contact information for minors and supports adults who attend on their own, following each clinic's published requirements.

What families should expect

  • Published clinic dates, cities, and registration windows — nothing is assumed until staff publish a clinic.
  • Online registration with waiver acceptance before payment when checkout is enabled for that environment.
  • A secure management link to review status, complete an offered seat, or contact the clinic email on file.

Visual system

Public pages follow 127 Sports Intensity Brand System v4 — navy structure, orange registration CTAs, Maven Pro headings, Source Sans 3 body copy, and photography-forward heroes. Section pacing follows the owner-approved public design inspiration notes (LeBron James demo site: layout and rhythm only; v4 colors and fonts win).

What athletes build

  • Skill

Mechanics, positioning, and whistle timing practiced on the court with coach feedback.

  • Discipline

Athletes prepare before they step on the floor — study materials, arrive ready, and respect the crew.

  • Accountability

Junior referees learn to own the call, communicate clearly, and stay composed when the gym gets loud.

  • Character

Compete hard and treat players, coaches, and partners with respect — the same standard we teach in every 127 SI program.
